The Spring 2020 shows have come to a close in New York. Here, the hottest trends from the catwalks of NYFW.

After a week where New York got filled of fashionistas, photographers and catwalks, finally New Fashion Week wrapped up its shows and here I am to make a review of the trends that captivated me (and surely a lot of fashionistas too!).

Spring 2020 is going to be really interesting, full of color, different structures, feathers and a lot of inspiration from the 70's, 80's and 00's. Of course, this trends will not be the only ones in the future of fashion. We still have London, Milan and Paris FWs to keep tracking what we'll be wearing the next season.

But enough of talking (or writing!) Scroll for the hottest trends I spotted on the New York Fashion Week.

PUFFY SLEEVES

A throwback of the 80's famous sculpted shoulders, the puffy sleeves aren't going anywhere and will keep us falling in love with it next year! Wether you're a minimalist who prefers a subtle statement or a maximalist who likes to eye-catch everyone, this trend fits everyones aesthetic and it's a great one to acquire.

SUITING

Blazers and suit pants or skirts have been conquering us all for some seasons now and next Spring 2020 will finally reach its peak! Comfortable and ideal for all occasions, suits can be as classic as trendy according to what they're combined with or the colors we choose! A standout outfit that was a hit during this past week in Manhattan was combining a blazer and suit pants with a crop top below. Cool, comfortable and also classy! But if you're the ones like me who don't like showing your belly, it's OK! There're a lot of options for us too!

SHEER

Although sleeves are getting longer and puffier, they are also becoming more transparent. And not only the sleeves: from trenchs to dresses, everything will go through a sheer-mania!

FLORALS

Spring is the season of the flowers and, as it happens every year, we'll see them invading the collections of all fashion brands!

TIE-DYE

When we thought tie-dye trend was dead, celebrities like Beyonce and Justin Bieber wore it and boom! Suddenly every designer wanted this particular style in their catwalks and after a pilot test in the previous Fashion Week, the past NYFW Spring 2020 showed thousands of designs and styles of tie-dye! But this tie-dyes doesn't have the 70's flower power connotation: the new spring tie-dyes are very modern, more elevated and fashion forward, with sophisticated color combinations, elevated fabrics and unexpected shapes.

EVERYTHING GREEN

When you see a color repeating in numerous fashion shows, you know it will be THE color of the year. This NYFW Spring 2020's color was green, and not just one shade... all of them! From forest green to sage green, mint green and aqua green, this is the color that no-one can miss the next Spring season!

DUCHESS SATIN

This soft and shiny fabric was the main character of several catwalks during the past NYFW Spring 2020. Both in classic colors such as nude, white and black, or in more strident ones such as green, orange or fuchsia, this fabric will fill everything: from blouses to dresses, suits and skirts.
